This condition follows Ajax’s experience with Girona, which paid its share fully despite the player’s injury and limited appearances.
Negotiations became more complex due to Ter Stegen’s personal financial considerations, particularly regarding tax implications in wage distribution. Barcelona intervened recently to facilitate the exit by adjusting certain figures.
Ajax coach Michel confirmed that Ter Stegen will miss the club’s debut match in the Conference League on July 23. The registration deadline for the next round expires at midnight on July 31. The player has chosen not to comment so far but has been regularly attending training sessions with Barcelona under coach Hans Flick at the Ciutat Esportiva training center.
