LaLiga president Javier Tebas has confirmed that FC Barcelona has returned to compliance with LaLiga's 1:1 financial fair play rule following a successful summer transfer window.

Speaking at Casa España prior to the World Cup final in New York, Tebas stated: "Yes, it’s at 1-1. Based on the transfers they’ve made, it has to be." This means the club can now operate freely in the transfer market, spending every euro generated on new signings.

This status was reached primarily by freeing up substantial salary space — a key step was the departure of Robert Lewandowski, as well as the sale of Ansu Fati to Monaco for €11 million after a loan spell.

Tebas also noted that although Barcelona invested heavily to sign Anthony Gordon, the winger's salary is not particularly high, easing the wage bill pressure.

This financial flexibility has enabled Barcelona to continue their transfer business, with Karim Adeyemi's arrival expected to be confirmed soon despite some minor delays.

Under LaLiga's financial fair play rules, clubs must balance revenues and expenses, which restricts wage budgets and encourages responsible financial management. Barcelona’s return to the 1:1 rule signals restored financial discipline and creates favorable conditions to strengthen the squad further.
