FC Barcelona is closely monitoring the future of Moroccan winger Abde Ezzalzouli (24). The player joined Real Betis’s preseason training but the English Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Newcastle United have shown strong interest in signing him during the summer of 2026.
Betis has set a release clause of €60 million. Barcelona holds 20% of the rights to any future sale of Abde, which could result in significant financial gain. Should either English club meet this price, Barcelona would receive an additional €12 million.
Aston Villa has fresh funds following the multibillion-euro sale of Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for €137 million. Newcastle also boosted their budget with the sales of Sandro Tonali to Tottenham for €108 million and Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for €70+10 million.
Initially, Barcelona sold Abde to Betis for €7.5 million, retaining 50% of his rights. Later, Betis increased their stake to 80% after facilitating the transfer of Vitor Roque to Palmeiras.
Abde had an excellent last season as a Betis player, scoring 15 goals and providing 10 assists. The potential income from his sale could help Barcelona expand their transfer budget during the summer 2026/27 window.
