Robert Lewandowski has officially transferred from FC Barcelona to MLS club Chicago Fire. The striker signed a two-year contract with an option for a third season, turning down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia.

According to reports, Lewandowski's salary at Chicago Fire is 15 million euros net per season, plus up to 5 million in performance-related bonuses. This deal surpasses his earnings in his final season at Barcelona.

The transfer also includes a comprehensive lifestyle plan for Lewandowski and his family: a dedicated gym space for his wife, schooling arrangements for his children, and housing agreements were key factors in his decision.

Accompanied by his agent Pini Zahavi, Lewandowski has already arrived in the United States to finalize the contract details. Negotiations with the club began in February and now are near completion.

Lewandowski intends to continue playing at a high level in MLS and plans to maintain his international career with Poland.

"Chicago showed me projects designed for my whole family—that was the key in my decision," the forward said in an interview following his signing. The contract with Chicago Fire marks the end of his chapter at Barcelona and the start of a new one in MLS.
