As Barcelona approaches the start of preparations for the 2026/27 season, midfielder Marc Casado is increasingly likely to leave the club before pre-season begins.
Having spent most of his career at Barcelona since his teenage years, the decision to depart has not been easy for Casado. Nevertheless, both the player and the club appear ready for a separation this summer.
One of the most advanced options recently considered is a move to French side AS Monaco. Reports even suggest a preliminary agreement exists between the player and the Ligue 1 club. However, Casado's agent, Jorge Mendes, has temporarily paused this move amid a potential deal involving Casado as part of Barcelona’s pursuit of Joao Cancelo from Al-Hilal.
Under this scenario, Casado could head to Saudi Arabia instead of Monaco. Although there are still many variables in play, the fact remains that Marc Casado will leave Barcelona during this transfer window.
