FC Barcelona is negotiating with Catalan police and city authorities to allow around 500 supporters, formerly part of the Grada d’Animació groups, to attend the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid.
These fans are planned to be situated in the Gol 1957 section at Spotify Camp Nou. Their presence is intended to energize the stadium and help overturn the daunting 4-0 loss from the first leg.
Currently, the license for this section has not been confirmed, prompting the club to submit a special request to the Mossos d’Esquadra police. A prompt response is expected, given the match is scheduled for next Tuesday.
Barcelona’s board has also been in talks with supporter groups including Almogàvers, Nostra Ensenya, Front 532, and Supporters Barça to unify their backing in a new area and generate a charged atmosphere for the team. This initiative aims to motivate players on a crucial stage of the tournament.
If approved by the city and police authorities, the additional supporters could significantly enhance the atmosphere at the stadium, increasing Barcelona’s chances for a successful comeback in the Copa del Rey.
