Barcelona has been active in the summer transfer window, continuing to strengthen its squad.
The club has secured the signing of Anthony Gordon, made the deal for youngster Hamza Abdelkarim permanent, and is close to signing Karim Adeyemi. Additionally, Barcelona is interested in Atletico Madrid star Julián Álvarez and is negotiating for developmental talent Jesse Bisiwu.
On the outgoing side, Robert Lewandowski and Marcus Rashford have left, and Ferran Torres might follow them to PSG.
Should Ferran leave, Barcelona could sign another striker to partner Álvarez. Options on the radar include Dusan Vlahovic, now a free agent after his Juventus contract ended, and Fisnik Asllani from Hoffenheim, who has a €29 million release clause.
Vlahovic was offered to Barcelona, but his initial salary and signing demands were high, although these figures are said to have been reduced. Asllani represents a younger, developmental alternative; he has reportedly already engaged in talks with the club and his representatives.
Hamza Abdelkarim will train with the first team while continuing to play regularly for the reserves and could act as a backup striker next season. However, if the club wants a more reliable replacement than a young player still needing consistent minutes, signing a new No. 9 like Asllani or Vlahovic might be necessary.
There is also the option of playing Anthony Gordon or Dani Olmo as a forward if required.
If Ferran stays, the urgency to bring in another striker diminishes. The club’s approach will depend on whether the Spaniard departs this summer.
