FC Barcelona is showing interest in 18-year-old Neil Pierre, a player with dual United States and Haitian nationality, who developed through the Philadelphia Union youth system.

Pierre has recently played for Danish club Lyngby, playing a key role in their promotion to the first division. Standing close to two meters tall, he is right-footed and noted for his physical presence and confidence on the ball.

His direct experience in Major League Soccer is limited, with about 20 minutes played at the top level in the US. Nevertheless, he has progressed through the youth national teams, including participation with the U19 squad alongside Diego Kochen, who is also on Barcelona’s radar.

Barcelona’s scouting department, led by Joao Amaral, has been actively searching for emerging talents and recently signed multiple young players from North America. The club has experience recruiting from that market, with players such as Mamadou Mbacke from Los Angeles FC and Julián Araujo from LA Galaxy.

Neil Pierre is represented by the Nordic Sky agency, which previously negotiated Lucas Bergvall’s transfer to Barcelona. His exposure to European football and physical attributes contribute to Barcelona’s interest as they consider possible integration into La Masia or Barça Atlètic.

Pierre remains a monitored prospect as Barcelona plans adjustments within Barça Atlètic’s squad in preparation for the upcoming season.
