FC Barcelona officially announced the renewal of Carla Julià’s contract, a 19-year-old defender, extending her stay until 2030. The 2026/27 season marks her full integration into the club’s first women’s team.
Carla joined Barça in summer 2025 from Badalona Women. In her debut season, she was a regular starter for the B team, gaining significant minutes under coach Pere Romeu.
Her first appearance with the first team came in the Copa Catalunya on August 16, 2025. She also debuted in Liga F last season against Deportivo, having previously played in Spain’s top women’s division with Badalona.
Her technical profile and potential motivated Barça’s leadership to secure her long-term and promote her permanently to the senior squad. The contract until 2030 shows the club’s confidence in her development and readiness to compete at the highest level.
