Women make up 25% of Barcelona's members with voting rights—nearly 28,000 out of 114,000. However, their representation in the board remains very limited. Over the past five years, only one woman, Elena For, has served on the board, notably as vice president responsible for the Espai Barça project.

If Joan Laporta is re-elected as president, the number of women on the board will double from one to two by including Carme Horala Vallvé, a respected professional with an economic background and ties to influential business families in Barcelona.

Meanwhile, candidate Víctor Font proposes more significant changes with four women out of fourteen board members, coming from diverse backgrounds such as technology, culture, football, and administration. These changes highlight the club's need for fresh perspectives and more inclusive representation.

Regardless of the election outcome, Barcelona clearly needs to increase women's involvement in key decision-making roles to ensure a broader range of views and enhance management quality.
