FC Barcelona is finalizing plans for the upcoming preseason, set to begin training on July 13. As most first-team players will be unavailable due to the World Cup and vacations, several youth and reserve players will be called up by Hansi Flick, who returns to the club’s facilities on Thursday.

The team’s first friendly is scheduled for July 24 against EE Europa at the St. Joan Despi training ground. Following that, Barcelona will travel to England for a week-long training camp from July 27 to August 2, where they will also face Birmingham City in a friendly match.

On August 8, Barcelona will take on Italian side Udinese. According to Mundo Deportivo citing Esport3, this game will be part of a three-team preseason tournament involving English club Nottingham Forest as well. An agreement for the tournament has already been reached.

Beyond the tournament, offers to play friendlies in Rabat and Nairobi have been received. Another friendly during the England stay, likely against Watford or Stoke City, is yet to be confirmed.

The preseason will conclude with the Joan Gamper Trophy, with opponents still to be finalized, although Egyptian club Al-Ahly is among the potential contenders. These matches should help Barcelona prepare thoroughly for the 2026-27 season.
