The renovation of Spotify Camp Nou is progressing as planned, with the club aiming to accelerate the construction of the third tier during summer 2026, which will prepare the stadium for the final phase involving the installation of the roof.

Due to the project's scale, FC Barcelona is considering requesting additional funding from its members for the Espai Barça complex. According to Diario Ara, there is a discussion about presenting this proposal at the upcoming extraordinary assembly scheduled for July 2026. This meeting will also ratify new members of the Board of Directors, providing an appropriate context to address financial matters.

Information from the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) indicates that the total structured financing allocated for the renovation of Spotify Camp Nou amounts to 1.377 billion euros, excluding financial costs. By the end of 2025, 1.009 billion euros had already been disbursed, representing 73% of the planned budget.

During 2025, when the stadium remained closed due to the works until late November, the club invested 388 million euros, averaging approximately 32 million euros monthly. According to the latest CNMV update, if this rate continues, available funds could have been depleted by May 2026. However, construction continues normally, and the club is exploring ways to increase financing to successfully complete the project.

In financial management terms, FC Barcelona considers financial sustainability rules and expenditure-to-revenue balancing requirements under La Liga and UEFA regulations. Increasing financing would likely enable the club to complete renovations without breaching financial controls.

Practically, this would accelerate infrastructure modernization and enhance fan experience in upcoming seasons.
