Milan reportedly values Leao between 60 and 70 million euros, a fee Barcelona is unlikely to meet considering their recent decision to reject a €30 million purchase option for Marcus Rashford. Instead, Barcelona might prefer a loan arrangement with an obligatory buy option, similar to the one agreed for Rashford last summer.
Leao has spent seven seasons at AC Milan, playing 291 matches and scoring 80 goals. Although primarily a winger on the left, he is known for his scoring instinct but also for inconsistency. His best campaign came in 2022 when he helped Milan win Serie A and qualify for the Champions League.
Barcelona had previously shown interest in Leao two summers ago while targeting reinforcement for the left flank, specifically Nico Williams. Later priorities shifted toward other players, but financial constraints currently make revisiting Leao an option.
Other clubs like Tottenham and teams from the Arabian region have also expressed interest. The current loan possibility with a mandatory purchase makes the move more feasible for Barcelona within their budget restrictions.
The Blaugrana management is monitoring Leao’s situation closely, but no official proposals or agreements have been confirmed yet.
