The FC Barcelona Players’ Association has once again celebrated the club’s finest, with defender Pau Cubarsi and goalkeeper Cata Coll named as recipients of the prestigious 2026 Barça Players’ Association Award.

This annual award highlights first-team players who best embody the club’s values through their performances, attitude, and conduct both on and off the pitch. For 19-year-old Cubarsi, this accolade marks another significant milestone in an already remarkable year.

A La Masia graduate, Cubarsi has established himself as an undisputed starter and a defensive cornerstone thanks to his composure, intelligence, and ability to initiate attacks from the back. His international reputation also soared as he played all 450 minutes for Spain at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, helping his team reach the quarter-finals without conceding a goal.

Cata Coll, honored for the first time, serves as the first-choice goalkeeper for Barcelona Femeni. Over six seasons with the senior team, she has become one of Europe’s most dependable goalkeepers due to her consistency, leadership, and dedication.

The winners were selected by a vote among Players’ Association members, with former players choosing those who best reflected Barcelona’s identity and values throughout the season. The award recognizes not only footballing excellence but also professionalism and maturity.

Cubarsi and Coll continue to emerge as symbols of the club, setting examples for younger teammates and strengthening the squad with their outstanding contributions and loyalty to Barcelona’s ideals.
