Óscar Jorquera worked for nine years in FC Barcelona's youth academy and coached players such as Olmo, Lamine, Bernal, and Xavi Espar.
Currently, he is part of the methodology department of the Nàsic football base in Tarragona, developing the methodology and incorporating Johan Cruyff's philosophy to make youth teams more proactive with the ball and recognizable by their style of play.
Jorquera emphasized the importance of 7-a-side football as the foundation for player growth, mentioning that the club's development begins there, both athletically and economically.
He highlighted promising players like Marc Bernal, whom he sees as destined to be the 21st-century Sergio Busquets for the club, praising Bernal's versatility and outstanding vision on the pitch.
Jorquera also discussed current La Masia talents, noting how hard it is to find another player like Pedri, but he is impressed by Pedro Villar and Guille Fernández.
Moreover, he expressed confidence in David Raya's goalkeeping potential for the Spanish national team and shared his willingness to return to work at Barça someday, affirming his lifelong loyalty to the club.
