Karim Adeyemi has arrived in Barcelona and is set to become the club’s second signing of the summer ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 24-year-old Germany international landed at Barcelona-El Prat Airport around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, arriving on a private flight from Borussia Dortmund. He was accompanied by family and close friends, and received a discreet but substantial welcome organized by the club, including security presence.

Barcelona agreed to pay Borussia Dortmund €22 million plus up to €7 million in performance-based bonuses. Dortmund will retain 30% of any future capital gain from a subsequent sale. Adeyemi is expected to sign a five-year contract running until summer 2031.

Known for his pace, directness, and versatility in attack, Adeyemi is highly regarded by Barcelona’s head coach Hansi Flick, who gave him his senior Germany debut in 2021.

Following his medical examination and contract signing, Adeyemi plans to join his new teammates for training on Friday morning as the team continues pre-season preparations.

His official presentation will take place next week, after club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco return to Barcelona from the United States, where they are attending the World Cup final.

"I have supported Barcelona since I was a child, and it is a huge honour for me to be part of this club," Adeyemi said briefly upon arrival. This marks the start of a new chapter in his career, one he is eager to begin.

Adeyemi’s arrival strengthens Barcelona’s forward line as they prepare for the challenges of the upcoming season.
