Just hours after Lamine Yamal helped Spain qualify for the 2026 World Cup final in the United States, his home in Esplugues de Llobregat was targeted by burglars. Security cameras captured two masked individuals climbing over a wall of the footballer’s property at around 4 a.m.

Thanks to the prompt actions of Yamal’s private security team, the attempt was stopped before anything could be taken. The intruders quickly fled the scene upon being spotted. The security personnel alerted the Mossos d’Esquadra police, and the Criminal Investigation Division took over the case.

A patrol confirmed the incident as an attempted forced entry. The footage shows the intruders, one dressed completely in black and the other in grey, wearing balaclavas. Yamal’s house is well-known locally, having previously been owned by Gerard Piqué and Shakira. Along with at least two other burglaries in this luxury residential area the same night, this incident highlights the importance of protective measures for top football players off the pitch.
