Former president Joan Laporta continued his electoral campaign in Sitges, meeting with over 200 club members.

At the event held at the Port Sitges Resort hotel, Laporta presented his project under the slogan "Defend Barça", proposing continuity and stability for a sustainable, competitive Barça faithful to its values. He also received a symbolic plaque with his name, to be installed in the Johan Cruyff Passage on the Avenue of Football Stars at the Aiguadolç Municipal Field.

This initiative, driven by the Sitges Veterans Foundation together with the City Council, honors footballers linked to the town. The plaque was handed over by Alejandro Sacrisán, son of Eusebio Sacrisán, whose name is also featured alongside Johan Cruyff and others in the same space.

In his speech, Laporta asserted that the club is "objectively and indisputably better than five years ago." He highlighted that Barça overcame a severe economic crisis, regained institutional credibility, and has returned to the forefront thanks to bold decisions and the commitment of a team that placed the club emblem above personal interests.

Laporta called for members' support to strengthen the club’s institutional, social, and economic stability and to complete the Spotify Camp Nou project. He also emphasized his intention to consolidate a "modern, professional, and high-level" governance model, maintain sporting ambition across all sections, and preserve the ownership model held by the members.
