Diego Kochen, the 20-year-old goalkeeper who has balanced duties between Barça Atlètic and first-team call-ups, is set to spend the 2026/27 season on loan at Danish club Lyngby. His contract with Barcelona runs until June 30, 2028.

Kochen plans to travel to Denmark on June 22 for medical examinations and will join Lyngby on June 23 to start preseason preparations. Lyngby recently secured promotion to the top tier of Danish football after a successful playoff campaign. The club, with American investors among its backers, aims to establish itself firmly in the elite division.

During the current season, Kochen was called up 40 times by first-team coach Hansi Flick but did not make any appearances on the pitch. His total call-ups have surpassed 100, including matches such as the one against Valencia. Barcelona holds him in high regard as a goalkeeper for the future, although competition from players like Joan Garcia, Wojciech Szczesny, Marc-André ter Stegen, and Iñaki Peña has limited his playing opportunities.

Both Kochen and the club consider the loan move essential for his development, offering him the chance to play regularly at a higher competitive level and take the next step in his career.
