The 2023/24 season has been disappointing for Barcelona's star attacking trio of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, and Robert Lewandowski. Whereas last season they were close to winning a quadruple, their progress has visibly slowed down this time.

The biggest decline is seen in Raphinha's performance. Last season, he was phenomenal with 34 goals and 26 assists. This season, his numbers have dropped nearly by half, registering just 15 goals and 4 assists. He has lost the deadly precision and ability to break through defenses. Injuries have played a major role, with Raphinha missing 13 matches and playing two more cautiously. His only outstanding period was between December and the Spanish Super Cup, earning MVP honors, but this form was short-lived.

Lamine Yamal, however, continues to improve his stats individually but this has not offset the lack of stability in the key attackers. Robert Lewandowski has struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting XI despite the club's interest in extending his contract. His contribution has fallen short of expectations, impacting the overall effectiveness of the attack.

Combined with frequent injuries and dip in effectiveness, the attackers' struggles have complicated Barcelona's fight in La Liga and European competitions. The loss of confidence and sharpness has made their offense predictable and less threatening, diminishing hopes of replicating last season's successes.

For fans, this signals a need for Barcelona to find new solutions to strengthen the attack — whether by regaining the form of their leaders or bringing in new talent. The upcoming transfer window will be crucial for revitalizing the club's offense.
