Negotiations are expected to be challenging. Real Sociedad’s captain, Aritz Elustondo, stated that Remiro is likely to renew his contract and retire at the club, Martin is expected to become a club legend, and Oyarzabal’s transfer to Barcelona seems off the table.
Financial constraints limit Barcelona’s ability to regularly pay release clauses, which creates a significant barrier to signing these players. The club’s budget does not seem to allow for activating these clauses, making their arrival at the Spotify Camp Nou improbable.
Nonetheless, Oyarzabal would be a fantastic successor to Robert Lewandowski, and Martin and Remiro would strengthen the squad depth. Should financial or tactical circumstances change, Barcelona may pursue these targets more decisively. Supporters should note that while Barcelona is actively seeking reinforcements, solidifying these deals will be complex.
