Barcelona resumed preseason training last week at the Joan Gamper Sports City under coach Hansi Flick, albeit with a depleted squad due to World Cup commitments.

From July 27 to August 3, the team will conduct a week-long training camp at St George's Park in England, the training center of the English national team. One friendly match is scheduled during this period: a game against Birmingham on Friday at St Andrew's Stadium.

The club has previously used St George's Park as its preseason base in 2014 and 2016, so Barcelona has experience preparing there.

After returning to Barcelona, training will continue at Joan Gamper Sports City. The next engagement is participation in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Cup in Italy, a triangular tournament held on August 8 in Udine at the Bluenergy Stadium. Following this, the team will remain in Barcelona until the season starts.

This summer, Barcelona has moved away from traditional long international tours, especially to the United States, opting for a preparation more focused on daily work at the training ground. The schedule has been influenced by the World Cup and the gradual return of international players.

The main goals are to help players recover after the World Cup, focus on physical conditioning, and prepare tactical plans in smaller groups, aiming to better ready the squad for the 2026/27 season.
