Hansi Flick, Barcelona's head coach, and his staff have started to increase the intensity of the preseason preparation for the 2027/28 season. On Wednesday, the first double training session was held, traditionally comprising a physical segment and ball work.

The session included the players who started training on Monday, with Brian Fariñas joining on Tuesday. Fermín López was absent from the group due to a toe injury that kept him out of the World Cup; he is still working in the gym.

The return of World Cup participants and new signings like Karim Adeyemi is expected soon. For this training session, nine first-team players took part: Marc-André ter Stegen, Wojciech Szczęsny, Balde, Andreas Christensen, Casadó, Gerard Martín, Marc Bernal, Héctor Fort, and Roony Bardghji.

Ter Stegen continues to train with the team amid finalizing his loan move to Ajax, pending fiscal bureaucracy to complete the agreement.

Additionally, youth and reserve players such as Brian Fariñas, Jofre Torrents, Álvaro Cortés, Hafiz Gariba, Tommy Marqués, Orian Goren, Ebrima Tunkara, Ibrahim Diarra, Guille Fernández, Álex González, Shane Kluivert, Òscar Gistau, Toni Fernández, Áron Yaakobishvili, Xavi Espart, and Hamza Abdelkarim were also involved.
