Fans seated in the front rows behind the goals at Camp Nou have raised complaints about not being able to see the entire goalposts during matches. Photos sent to the media from spectators’ phones reveal static advertising banners covering the bottom parts of the posts and the goal line, severely limiting their view.
A snapshot taken from the 28th row on the first tier of the South Goal sector shows that the advertising impacts visibility even from that distance. The closer rows experience even worse sightlines, and in the North Goal sector, the first three rows are not sold due to extremely poor visibility conditions.
This issue echoes a similar problem faced in 2015 when advertising also blocked views behind the goals. The temporary solution then was to move the ads further from the goal line, which noticeably improved fans' views. Unfortunately, these measures have not been maintained.
The club should consider removing or repositioning advertising banners behind the goals to restore full viewing experience for supporters. After all, watching goals unhindered is fundamental to enjoying football live, not through obstructions.
