Barcelona face Levante today, with an excellent opportunity to reclaim the top spot in the league after Real Madrid's loss to Osasuna on Saturday.

Coming off two back-to-back defeats, Barcelona are desperate to secure all three points this weekend.

However, the club must proceed with caution as three players currently face suspension risk for the upcoming match against Villarreal if they receive another booking against Levante.

The three players in question are Frenkie de Jong, Jules Kounde, and Gerard Moreno. All are currently on four yellow cards and could miss the next match if booked again.

This means they could be ruled out against Villarreal, a key tie for Barcelona in the title race.

De Jong has been a key figure in midfield and is expected to improve further now that Pedri has returned.

Kounde has been a consistent presence at right-back. Although coach Hansi Flick has Joao Cancelo as backup, he ideally wants Kounde to continue at right-back against Villarreal.

Gerard Moreno is the other player at risk, having delivered impressive performances as a center-back recently.

He has been a useful rotation option for Flick in central defense, and his potential absence would be a blow to the Blaugrana.

Fortunately for Barcelona, the club appears to have adequate alternatives ready if these players do get suspended for the Villarreal match.
