Barcelona's attacking strategy could take a surprising turn before the transfer window closes.
While the club continues to integrate Karim Adeyemi, uncertainty about Ferran Torres’ future remains a major talking point of the summer. According to Spanish media, Paris Saint-Germain continues to show interest in the Spain international, and Ferran has reportedly given the green light to a possible move should negotiations progress.
At present, Barcelona is not actively seeking to sell the 25-year-old forward; however, if an agreement is eventually reached, the club’s sporting department will almost certainly enter the market for a new centre-forward.
Julian Alvarez remains the club’s dream signing, but Barcelona acknowledges the risk of relying on a single target. Therefore, sporting director Deco is open to exploring opportunities that combine strong athletic profiles with financial prudence, especially given the club’s limited budget.
Here are three strikers who could realistically bolster Barcelona without requiring a major financial commitment.
Dusan Vlahovic’s name has reemerged around Barcelona, and after becoming a free agent due to his Juventus contract expiration, he has been offered to the club by his representatives. Earlier talks stalled over his financial demands—salary, signing bonus, and agent fees—which were beyond Barcelona’s comfort zone. These demands have reportedly softened, reopening the door for negotiations. Additionally, Vlahovic has shown long-standing admiration for Barcelona and is reportedly willing to wait despite a concrete offer from Besiktas. From a tactical standpoint, although he would not offer Ferran Torres’ versatility, he could provide manager Hansi Flick with a true central striker against deep-defending teams.
Fisnik Asllani presents a different profile but one that perhaps fits closer with Barcelona's planning. The Hoffenheim striker has earned a reputation in the Bundesliga and attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund. His reported €29 million release clause makes him relatively accessible compared to many young forwards, though Barcelona would likely negotiate a lower fee. Notably, talks between Barcelona and Asllani's camp have already occurred, and reports indicate the player is eager to play at Spotify Camp Nou—an enthusiasm that could prove valuable if negotiations advance.
Karl Etta Eyong is arguably the least established name on the list but also among the market’s most intriguing young forwards. The Levante striker had a promising campaign despite his club's relegation battle, scoring seven goals and providing four assists across all competitions. His athleticism and attacking runs have attracted Premier League interest. Levante reportedly values him at around €30 million, which seems ambitious given his limited top-level experience. Barcelona would almost certainly hesitate to meet that valuation for a player expected initially to be a rotational option. Nevertheless, Deco’s negotiating skills and a willingness of selling clubs to potentially lower demands keep this avenue open.
