Salma Paralluelo has officially left FC Barcelona Women after choosing not to renew her contract. The 22-year-old winger is recognized for her explosive speed and an extensive list of titles. She departed with three UEFA Women’s Champions League trophies and an additional 12 titles won with the club.

Paralluelo was a key figure in Barcelona’s successes, notably scoring twice and providing an assist in the Champions League final against Olympique Lyonnais, which Barcelona won 4-0. Those two goals were her last for the club.

Several top clubs have expressed interest in her: Arsenal, London City Lionesses, Paris Saint-Germain, and Olympique Lyon. Chelsea, however, reportedly withdrew from bidding due to her financial demands.

Beyond her club achievements, Paralluelo played an instrumental role in Spain’s 2023 FIFA World Cup victory, becoming the first player, male or female, to win the senior tournament as well as both the U-20 and U-17 editions.

The summer transfer window in 2026 presents significant challenges for Barcelona Femení, as stars including Alexia Putellas, Ona Batlle, and Mapi León have also departed. The club faces important decisions to rebuild its squad.
