Gerard Pique believes that Barcelona remain superior to Real Madrid despite Madrid’s summer signings, making Barca the favorites to win the new La Liga season.
"Barça are still superior to Real Madrid. I think Barça today and at the start of the league is still superior," Pique told reporters. He highlighted that winning the last two league titles gives Barcelona status and credibility as frontrunners.
"The players and the team are already adapted to this. The fact that there is stability, with Flick now in his third year and players internalizing the playing style and model, gives them an advantage at the start," he added.
While Real Madrid has refreshed their squad with signings like Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahim Konate, and Denzel Dumfries, and plans to bring in Yan Diomande, Pique emphasizes that experience and cohesion keep Barcelona ahead.
