Pau Cubarsí was warmly welcomed by over 500 people in Vilablareix, his hometown, during a recent ceremony. The Barcelona centre-back was celebrated for a successful season that included winning LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup with the club, followed by a World Cup victory in the United States with Spain. Additionally, FIFA named him the best young player of the tournament.

Cubarsí expressed gratitude to his supporters and reflected on the values he absorbed in his town through school, high school, and the local team, from which he received a special jersey. "I am very happy to be here with you. It is a dream to bring such an important trophy to my town, and I hope we can all enjoy it together. I am proud to share this moment with you and I know you have supported me a lot from home," said the Barcelona player.

He also highlighted the role of his school and friends, whom he considers family, and wished that the children continue enjoying everything their community offers. "Remember that if something is meant to come, it will come. Don’t rush. Enjoy the journey, because it is beautiful and goes by quickly. Thank you very much," Cubarsí added.

During the event, a fan club named PB de Vilablareix Pau Cubarsí was officially established, driven by two local residents, Dani and David. Before leaving, Pau visited his grandmother at home, concluding the day with family.
