Although the summer transfer window is still months away from reopening, clubs have already activated their scanning for potentially interesting players.
German media like Bild have recently talked about Nathaniel Brown, the left-back of Eintracht Frankfurt, with reported interest from FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and other teams.
Following recent substitute appearances of Alejandro Balde on Barcelona’s left wing, Brown’s name has gained prominence due to his excellent season with Eintracht. In 30 appearances this season, he has scored 3 goals and provided 6 assists. The 22-year-old, who has been capped twice for Germany’s senior national team, is under contract with his current club until 2030, attracting attention from some of Europe’s major clubs.
Notably, Brown demonstrated his influence during a Champions League group stage match at Spotify Camp Nou against Barcelona, providing the assist for Ansgar Knauff’s goal to make it 0-1.
Top Premier League clubs such as Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal have reportedly set their sights on Brown, as well as PSG and Real Madrid. In Madrid’s case, despite signing Álvaro Carreras from Benfica last summer for 50 million euros, the uncertain futures of Ferland Mendy and Fran García could open a spot for other left-back candidates.
