Barcelona is exploring alternatives to replace Robert Lewandowski in the upcoming summer transfer window, with Mikel Oyarzabal emerging as a potential Plan B option.
According to Spanish media, while Julian Alvarez and Harry Kane remain the club’s primary targets, options like Kroupi Junior and Oyarzabal are also being considered as backup solutions.
The 29-year-old Real Sociedad forward scored 18 goals across all competitions last season. For Spain’s national team, he netted six goals and provided four assists in six World Cup qualifying matches. His release clause is set at €75 million.
Oyarzabal is familiar with Barcelona players, being part of Spain’s World Cup squad, which features eight players from the Barcelona roster under coach Hansi Flick.
Barcelona continues to evaluate options to strengthen its forward line, and Oyarzabal adds depth to their list should their main targets prove unattainable.
