Barcelona is seriously considering a permanent signing of Marcus Rashford after his current loan spell. The club is pleased with his performance, totaling 10 goals and 13 assists over 23 La Liga and 9 Champions League appearances. The main obstacle remains the €30 million buyout clause attached to the deal.

Barcelona’s proposal involves extending Rashford’s loan by another season while paying part of the buyout fee upfront and settling the remainder next year. However, Manchester United firmly rejects this option, insisting on the full payment immediately. They believe they have already accepted a transfer fee below Rashford’s true value.

On his part, Rashford wants to stay and develop under coach Hansi Flick's guidance. Recently, his playing time has decreased, missing the last two matches, which adds uncertainty to the future arrangement.

Failure to reach an agreement could end the loan prematurely, forcing Rashford to return to Manchester United and denying Barcelona the chance to keep a promising talent.
