Robert Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona remains unclear, and the veteran striker is not rushing into a final choice. With his current contract expiring at the end of the season, the Polish forward plans to take his time and weigh his next move carefully.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Lewandowski intends to make up his mind only after the club’s presidential elections, scheduled for March 15. The report states that the experienced striker plans to wait until April before committing to any option. Only after seeing how the situation at Barcelona develops will he evaluate a renewal proposal from the club alongside other opportunities.
The player’s entourage has reportedly confirmed five serious offers from clubs outside Barcelona. One of the most talked-about possibilities is a move to Major League Soccer, with Chicago Fire showing strong interest. There is also a personal element: Lewandowski’s wife, Anna, recently travelled to Chicago on business and used the trip to assess whether the family would be comfortable living in the city.
In addition to the MLS option, several European and Middle Eastern teams are monitoring the situation. Clubs frequently mentioned as potential destinations include AC Milan, Atlético Madrid, Fenerbahçe, and teams from Saudi Arabia, although the level of interest varies between them.
Lewandowski will turn 38 before the start of next season, and at this stage of his career financial terms are no longer the primary concern. For that reason Barcelona still hold an important advantage: if the club presents a reasonable renewal that reflects his status and contributions, the Polish striker is expected to give strong consideration to staying at Camp Nou.
