Following a commanding 5-2 victory over Sevilla, FC Barcelona held a recovery session at their Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training ground. The win coincided with Joan Laporta's re-election as club president.

Coach Hansi Flick strategically rested key players like Lamine Yamal and Eric Garcia in the Sevilla game to preserve them for the upcoming UEFA Champions League match against Newcastle United. Yamal, who had a minor discomfort prior, featured for just over 25 minutes, while Garcia missed the game due to a muscle overload.

According to recent reports, both players have regained full fitness, training at high intensity alongside other substitutes such as Ronald Araujo and Ferran Torres. This suggests they are set to be available for the critical Champions League clash.

Barcelona will still be without a few squad members, including Andreas Christensen, Frenkie de Jong, Jules Kounde, and Alejandro Balde. Nonetheless, the return of Yamal and Garcia strengthens the team’s lineup, improving their prospects against Newcastle.
