Jules Kounde has given the clearest indication that he expects to remain at Barcelona for the 2027/28 season, focusing fully on his ambitions with the club.

After France’s loss in the World Cup third-place match, Kounde was asked about his future but declined to address transfer speculation, instead speaking about coming back stronger and supporting Hansi Flick’s team.

"What I hope is to have a great season, to rest well first so I can come back stronger, to have an even better season and to help Barça as much as possible," Kounde said.

He is contracted until 2030 and is highly valued by both the coaching staff and the sporting directors. Still, Barcelona’s financial realities mean the club would only entertain offers that reflect his market value.

Reports suggest the club would expect bids in the range of €50-60 million for the defender, considering his consistent performances. So far, no such offers have been submitted.

Kounde remains a key part of Barcelona’s defense with plans to advance further and contribute to the team’s success.
