Barcelona’s presidential elections have entered a stage where candidates present their campaigns. Most of the big promises made seem unrealistic.

Candidate Xavi Vilajoana promised to sign Harry Kane if elected, stating that contacts have already begun.

Kane, however, denied any knowledge of this in an interview with Sky Sport Germany after Bayern Munich’s win over Eintracht Frankfurt. He explained that his family handles all transfer matters and he has not been informed about any Barcelona contacts.

Kane emphasized that he is happy at Bayern Munich and has not considered a move to Barcelona. He took the rumors as a compliment.

Kane’s denial is a major blow to Vilajoana’s campaign. Given Kane’s comfort at Bayern and the club’s project, a transfer to Barcelona appears unlikely.
