Barcelona midfielder Gavi shared his transfer preferences in an interview during the 2026 World Cup.
When asked which players from the Spain team he would sign for Barca, Gavi first said: "I like Pubill," then quickly corrected himself, saying: "No, I’m not going to tell you Pubill, I’m going to tell you Oyarzabal."
He was then asked which World Cup player he would bring to Barcelona and took little time answering: "Julián Álvarez."
Barcelona aims to strengthen the attack following Robert Lewandowski’s departure, and Alvarez is the club’s top target. However, the club understands the transfer could be difficult, with reports indicating another offer will be made after the World Cup ends.
Gavi’s comments reflect his clear preferences for reinforcing Barcelona’s squad, especially in the striker position.
