Barcelona midfielder Gavi has openly commented on the ongoing transfer rumors concerning Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez. In a recent interview, he expressed hope that Álvarez will decide to join Barcelona, emphasizing that it is the player’s dream to wear the Blaugrana jersey.
Álvarez is viewed as the perfect candidate to fill the gap left by Robert Lewandowski’s departure, with his playing style fitting well into Barcelona’s attacking setup. The club’s players and supporters alike have shown strong interest in bringing such a world-class striker to the squad.
However, Atlético Madrid remains firm on not selling Álvarez this summer unless a club activates his €500 million release clause. Despite Álvarez’s public desire to leave Atlético, no official agreement with Barcelona has been reached yet.
