Done deal. FC Barcelona are set to sign 16-year-old winger Ajay Tavares from Norwich City, confirmed by Fabrizio Romano’s trademark ‘Here we go’.
One of the most talented young prospects in England, Tavares already plays for Norwich’s Under-18 team. Barcelona had been working on this deal for some time and had reached a verbal agreement with the player, but bureaucratic issues delayed the transfer.
These procedures are now resolved and FIFA has approved the operation. Tavares is expected to arrive in Barcelona on Sunday and undergo his medical on Monday. He will then join Barcelona’s training mid next week to begin adapting.
