Juan Ybarra, 22-year-old attacking midfielder capable of playing both as an interior and on the left wing, has officially signed with Barça Atlètic. His contract runs for two seasons, until June 2028.
Originally from Madrid, Ybarra developed in Rayo Vallecano’s academy. Before moving to Barcelona, he played for Tenerife B, where he scored 13 goals and provided 9 assists during the season.
His strong performances earned him a debut with Tenerife’s first team in April 2026. Barcelona scouts followed his progress closely throughout the season, including several away matches in Tenerife.
According to reports, the transfer fee was €100,000, with Tenerife retaining 15% of any future sale of the player.
Ybarra is Barça Atlètic’s fourth signing for summer 2026 after Ignasi Quer, Javi Castro, and Joni Hernández. The club also announced departures of several players such as Víctor Barberá and Joaquín Delgado, and is expected to complete the signing of left back Josué Caicedo along with an extension of Patricio Pacífico’s loan.
This transfer is part of Barcelona’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Barça Atlètic's squad with promising talents for the upcoming season.
