FC Barcelona have been proactive in protecting the futures of both their first‑team core and the young talents coming through La Masia. According to SPORT, Barcelona are set to renew the contract of 18‑year‑old Guillem Víctor until 2028: his current deal expires on 30 June and the club have offered a two‑season extension so he will be part of Barça Atlètic for the next two campaigns. A full agreement has already been reached between the parties, with only the formal paperwork left to sign.
This season Víctor has played 18 matches for Juvenil A (seven in the UEFA Youth League) and has made four appearances for Barça Atlètic. He was called once to train with the first team under Hansi Flick. Primarily a right‑back, he has also filled in at centre‑back, left‑back, on the wings and in midfield, showing tactical versatility. His reading of the game and technical ability mark him out in the academy, which is why Barcelona plan to promote him to Barça Atlètic full‑time next season.
