Ahead of their La Liga match against Sevilla FC, FC Barcelona is unveiling a new fan animation zone named Gol 1957. Located on the first tier of the South Goal stand at the Spotify Camp Nou, it is named in tribute to the stadium’s inauguration year, 1957. About 800 supporters will initially bring life to this section, signaling a revival of live fan atmosphere after several years of change.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the club has engaged in dialogue with various supporter groups over the past months to further refine this zone’s format. The animation stand had been closed since November 2024 but now returns with increased capacity.
Additionally, Barcelona recently received city approval to open the North Goal section (Gol Nord) as part of the stadium’s phase 1C renovation. These seats are allocated entirely to season ticket holders and fans who applied last October but initially missed out. Due to high demand exceeding supply, a lottery was held to fairly assign the available spots. Winners can now proceed with their seat purchases.
All of this coincides with a crucial day for the club itself—March 16, when presidential elections will take place—adding special significance to the match and fan presence.
For supporters, this means a return to a lively, passionate matchday atmosphere with structured fan backing. Gol 1957 will be the new heart of animation at Spotify Camp Nou, uniting active fans to support the team in competitive battles.
