The creation of a memorial dedicated to FC Barcelona fans is progressing with a unique comprehensive project at Spotify Camp Nou, part of the Espai Barça. This initiative, set to advance on June 15, 2026, involves placing fans’ urns containing ashes in a memorial space located on level 20 of the North Goal stand, close to the La Masia academy.

The constructed area covers 1,457.48 square meters. The project includes 26,600 columbariums, 9,000 personalized commemorative plaques, 50,000 communal altars, and a digital columbarium. The facility management is entrusted to Mes Que Un Memorial S.L. (Eternal Sports Memorial), with no financial involvement from Limak or Goldman Sachs.

The urns will be safeguarded behind large marble walls as a tribute to the shared memories of the club’s 125 years since its foundation in 1899. Commemorative plaques will be installed on a glass wall backlit with LED lights. Access to the memorial will be exclusive through Gate 35, located opposite entrance K Juan XXIII.

Commercially, columbariums are priced between €3,000 and €6,000 depending on the concession period, initially available for 25 or 50 years, with efforts to offer shorter options. Communal altars are set at €1,500, and plaques at €500. These concessions can be acquired directly or included in insurance policies.

Interest has emerged internationally from the United States, Mexico, Germany, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, highlighting the project’s global reach. It also attracted attention from families of legendary players and former club presidents who seek to have their remains enshrined in this football temple.

Compared to other memorials in LaLiga by clubs like Espanyol and Atlético Madrid, Barcelona’s facility is the largest and commercially structured memorial on such a scale.
