The match between Barcelona and Sevilla at Spotify Camp Nou began with a poignant minute of silence in memory of Enric Reyna, the club’s former president who passed away on March 13 at the age of 85. Players and fans alike paid their respects to a significant figure in the club’s history.
Reyna served as vice president from December 2002 and was the 40th president of Barcelona from February to May 2003. That day, 62,652 spectators filled the newly opened North Stand of the stadium to honor his legacy.
Earlier, a memorial service was held at the Tanatori de Les Corts, attended by current president Rafa Yuste, former presidents Joan Gaspart, Josep Maria Bartomeu, and Joan Laporta. Presidential candidate Victor Font also showed his respects, demonstrating wide support across the club for Reyna’s memory.
This moment not only commemorated Reyna’s contributions but also reinforced the club’s connection to its rich history and the shared respect among supporters.
