After joining from Espanyol last summer, the goalkeeper has taken his game a step further and become a vital player for Barcelona.
However, despite all his performances, Garcia has yet to make his debut for the Spanish national team.
He had the chance to debut at the end of last year, but an untimely injury meant he was not considered for the Spain squad.
Joan Garcia recently spoke with MARCA about his time at Barcelona and his situation regarding Spain call-ups.
While he admitted he does not always think about it, he sounded hopeful about a potential future selection and said he will keep working and improving.
“If I keep working humbly and giving my best in every game, good news will surely come,” he said.
