Barcelona president Joan Laporta, alongside key club officials, visited the stand of a charitable campaign led by Fundació Albert Bosch, aimed at combating childhood cancer. The campaign called "El fichaje que nos falta" ("The signing we’re missing") seeks to raise €910,000 to establish an innovative pediatric oncology research unit at Vall d'Hebron Institut de Recerca.

This new high-performance unit will be equipped with advanced robotic technology and staffed by highly qualified professionals including researchers, doctors, and bioinformaticians. Its purpose is to accelerate the development of new, targeted drugs for childhood cancer.

The campaign’s football-themed name serves as a metaphor to highlight the urgent scientific and social need for investment, drawing public attention. The active involvement of Joan Laporta and other club leaders underscores Barcelona’s serious approach to social responsibility and support for vital causes.
