Alejandro Balde Linked to Potential Exit from Barcelona Amid Man City Interest
Barcelona has not confirmed these reports and remains cautious about the rumored valuation. Officially, the player is estimated to be worth around 50 million euros. Nonetheless, the club has made clear that Balde, 22 years old, is transferable and is monitoring the situation closely.
Balde is under contract until June 2028. During the 2025/26 season, he lost his status as an undisputed starter but still appeared in 42 matches. Overall, he has featured in 168 games for Barcelona and earned seven caps for the Spanish national team. His agent is Jorge Mendes.
The departure of Balde would not disrupt plans by manager Hansi Flick or the club. Should he leave, Barcelona aims to reinforce the left side by signing João Cancelo, who played on loan at Camp Nou in 2025/26, and is also targeting Marc Cucurella from Chelsea.
