Barcelona has been closely monitoring Jesse Bisiwu, an 18‑year‑old winger formerly of Club Brugge, as a potential reinforcement for the reserve team and, in the not‑too‑distant future, the first team. The club has tracked him for some time because of his quality and youth, as previously reported.
Bisiwu’s agent, Mobindi Marhi, confirmed that Barcelona is among the clubs actively following the player and that the situation is being handled calmly and step by step. He noted that, given the player’s talent, it is normal for several big clubs to have official communications regarding his future, including Barcelona.
Interest from Barcelona was revived after a trip to Belgium by Deco and Joao Amaral, who is responsible for scouting in that country. Although the player is liked and monitored, he is not considered an option for the current winter market.
