Víctor Barberá, aged 19, is close to joining Valladolid following Barça Atlètic's announcement of his departure.
Although the transfer is not yet official, an agreement has been reached and confirmation is expected soon. The deal was pending due to an option to extend Barberá’s contract for three additional years held by FC Barcelona.
Barberá joined Barça's youth teams as a promising striker and was distinguished by his goal-scoring ability during his time in La Masia. He became an important player for Juvenil A, showing steady development.
In 2023, he left Barcelona to join Club Brugge in Belgium but returned two years later. His first year at Barça Atlètic was affected by muscle problems limiting his playing time, but he later contributed with goals upon his return.
Starting the 2025/26 season as one of Juliano Belletti’s forwards, Barberá decided to continue his career with Valladolid despite receiving other offers, showing respect towards Barcelona.
This move offers Barberá a new opportunity for playing experience and growth outside Barcelona’s academy system.
