Summer 2026 brings significant changes to Barça Atlètic's roster. The club has officially announced that five players will not continue with the reserve team next season as their contracts expire on June 30. Strikers Víctor Barberá and Joaquín Delgado, winger Òscar Ureña, and goalkeepers Emilio Bernad and Ander Astralaga will all depart.
Delgado, 24, joined Barça Atlètic on loan from Real Oviedo's reserve team in the winter transfer window. He made a notable impact by scoring seven goals in 16 appearances. Although Barcelona considered making the move permanent, no agreement was reached and Delgado will return to Oviedo, where he may continue following the club's relegation.
Ureña, 23, arrived from Girona in the summer of 2024 but injuries limited his influence during his first season. While he took on a bigger role in his second campaign, he didn't establish himself as a key player. Now out of contract, he is set to start a new chapter elsewhere.
The goalkeeping positions will also see changes. Bernad, 26, spent just one season with the reserves after joining shortly following his signing with Teruel. Fulfilling his dream of playing for Barcelona, he is likely to continue his career abroad.
Astralaga, 22, concludes eight years with the club, having spent last season on loan at Granada. He is leaving permanently after progressing through the academy system.
These roster changes are part of Barça Atlètic’s natural evolution under Juliano Belletti’s guidance, opening opportunities for emerging talents from La Masia. Attack positions for the next season are expected to be filled by players such as Òscar Gistau, Hamza Abdelkarim, and the soon-to-be-signed Ignasi Quer.
Such personnel updates reflect the competitive nature and high standards of La Masia, as experienced players who did not break through give way to new prospects pursuing development and advancement toward Barcelona’s first team.
